I'm a part time law student with one year left of law school while working as a law clerk during the day. My joys in life are my husband, cats, friends, and photography. I'm pretty good at keeping up the juggling but sometimes all of the balls get out of whack.

My new exracer fried Pal. I just love TBs. While not perfect, he is a gentle soul and we had a fun ride. He loved drinking from the hose :).
So I went up to ride my friend’s appendix who reminded me do much of Snap. Even down to her routines and her stiffness to the left. But I did learn I know a lot more about horses than I thought. I asked if she was on a joint supplement and she said bute :(. I asked how long and she said a long time :(. My stomach hurt for her! But we did get along really well and she is westernish so i had to really really used seat for everything (oh yeah, port bit :( ). So… I’ll give it a shot when I can since it is 45 minutes from my house. I really do like the mare but I can tell she is hurting in that same hind leg as Snap :(.
And today I cried and cried because I miss Snap so much it hurts. It is easy to not deal with it but yesterday was such a “normal” day at the barn and she wasn’t there. And Rock now lives in her stall. And no horse will ever replace her.
I rode Lump :)! It was fun but he was an ass when we were done because his BFF was turned out without him so the 20 something acted like a 2 year old while I hosed him off and it reminded me what a PITA horses can be lol. But I got his canter no problem and that is saying a lot since I’ve ridden 2 times since November. And really I haven’t consistently ridden since last July.
Going to try my friend’s mare on Sunday! A little western should be fun.
You guys…I think I’m ready. My friend is studying for the bar and needs a rider for her mare up in Pennington. So I’m going there Sunday morning. And! I just went out to the Whitsell farm in Moorestown (um amazingly gorgeous!!) and I’m going there Sunday afternoon to work with a young mare just off the track! Good thing Snap got me mare trained :).

If only to be a trial attorney you didn’t really need to do criminal law- not something I want to do. We shall see where this career takes me….
My weekend consisted of crazy amounts of weeding and gardening. I even planted a little tomato and herb garden!
